When to Use Dental Emergency Services
If you experience a dental emergency, be sure to call our 24-hour office as soon as possible. If you need immediate attention after hours, call our phone number and our on-call staff will help you. We will assess your unique situation and help ease your tooth pain. In an extreme emergency, please visit your hospital’s emergency room.
A dental emergency can happen at any time. You may require emergency care if:
- You have a toothache and/or a sensitive tooth.
- You have a swollen face.
- You have a chipped or broken tooth.
- You have lost a filling or a crown.
- You have excessive bleeding after having a tooth pulled.
- You are experiencing pain or obvious infection.
- You are experiencing an abscess or infected tooth, which may need an extraction or root canal.
- Your dentures need repairs or replacement, including broken dentures, loose dentures,
and cracked dentures.
- You’ve knocked out a tooth.
- Your wisdom teeth or tooth has become impacted.
